Playscapes is the next chapter in an evolving body of work that has moved, until now, through the interior. Through Soulscapes and Dream, the work asked difficult and tender questions — of memory, longing, the inner life. This series asks something else entirely. It asks what the world looks like when you stop analyzing it and simply meet it.

 

The paintings are loose, asymmetric, intuitive. Full of mark-making that follows instinct and rhythm. They are meditative without heaviness, simple without emptiness — the visual equivalent of a long afternoon with nowhere to be.

 

Playscapes is what happens when the brush stops asking permission.
